About us

Most agencies know marketing. We know industrial products.

Lead Engine is a GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) specialist for manufacturers selling internationally. We work on one belief: only people who understand the product can write content AI is willing to recommend.

What we do

We build the digital assets that get manufacturers recommended by AI

For twenty years, export manufacturers found buyers through trade shows, B2B marketplaces and paid search. Today the buyer's journey starts with a question to an AI assistant, and the default answer often lists only a handful of legacy incumbents from the US, Europe and Japan.

Lead Engine exists to translate a challenger manufacturer's real technical strength into a form AI can understand, is willing to cite and can confidently recommend.

AI gives answers, not ads. To get into the answer, you first have to become a fact.

Two things we are good at

We read industrial specs

Our background is in fine chemicals and industrial manufacturing, so we write expert source content for each category ourselves: specific surface area, matting efficiency, enzyme activity units, machining tolerances. We know which fields matter in each category and how to state them correctly. AI is more likely to treat this kind of content as expert fact than as marketing copy.

We focus on the overseas buyer's path

We work on Perplexity, ChatGPT, Claude and the other tools international buyers use to make decisions, rather than porting tactics built for other search ecosystems.

Founder

Who is behind this

A specialist service shouldn't be a faceless company. Here is where I come from, so you can judge whether I understand your industry.

Background

From the product side, not the marketing side

I have worked in fine chemicals and industrial product exports, covering European and Southeast Asian markets, with TDS and COA documents on my desk every day. Specific surface area, activity units, particle size distribution, tolerances: I have read these numbers for years.

That is the fundamental difference between Lead Engine and other agencies. Someone from an SEO background can't tell which few numbers in a TDS decide a buyer's choice, or what it means when a unit is off by one decimal place. I can, because I used to close deals on exactly those numbers.

Who we serve

We serve good manufacturers that AI overlooks

Most of the companies we have worked with make coating additives, rubber chemicals, feed additives or precision parts. We have also worked with medical device and electronic component makers.

They have one thing in common: the product is genuinely good and the specs match the established Western brands, but when AI names suppliers, they aren't on the list.

Why now

Why we started doing this

Because it happened to us first. In the second half of 2025, a customer replied to one of our emails: "We asked ChatGPT, and you didn't show up."

I didn't believe it, so I tested it with real buyer questions. Only then did I see how widespread the problem was. We later turned this into a public test. Asked for industrial connector suppliers, AI named nine brands, all US or European incumbents. Not one was a Chinese or other Asian manufacturer, even though China-based Luxshare Precision is one of the world's largest connector makers. Asked about solar PV instead, AI volunteered Chinese manufacturers JinkoSolar, LONGi and Trina Solar. AI doesn't pick suppliers by origin. The gap wasn't the product. It was the source content.

These results come from our test on August 12, 2026. The exact questions and screenshots are in Research & updates, so you can rerun them yourself.

We looked around and found almost no one doing this seriously for technical, spec-heavy products. So from day one, Lead Engine has done only this. We are not a legacy marketing agency that pivoted.

Agencies know marketing. I know industrial products.

Get one digit of a spec wrong and AI won't cite you. Get it right and it names you again and again.

How we compare

Who else offers GEO, and where we're different

Provider typeCore positioningStrengths and limitsWhere Lead Engine differs
Enterprise data-tech firmsLarge, group-backed technology providers Full-stack proprietary technology, with an emphasis on data governance and industry standards Solid technical foundation and high annual fees; teams come from general marketing and lack chemical or industrial expertise We read industrial specs: we write source content on material parameters, process conditions and test standards, which AI more readily treats as expert fact
SEO agencies adding GEOSearch agencies extending into AI SEO plus GEO, focused on traffic capture and a closed conversion loop Strong SEO fundamentals and polished case studies; focus tends to be on home-market AI models, with little research into how overseas buyers make decisions Built for the overseas buyer's path: we focus on the tools international buyers actually use, such as Perplexity and ChatGPT
FAQ

The four questions clients ask most

Do AI recommendations actually lead to orders?

AI gives answers, not ads. Buyers trust you because they trust the AI's technical judgment, and they arrive having already passed a first technical screen, so they convert noticeably better. Across the clients we track, inquiry intent is on average about 2.8× higher.

Other agencies offer GEO too. What makes Lead Engine different?

They know marketing. We know industrial products. GEO is not about writing beautifully. It is about writing content that is accurate, verifiable and consistent across independent sources. We produce source content on material parameters, process conditions and test standards, which AI more readily treats as expert fact. Get one digit of a spec wrong and AI won't cite you. Get it right and it cites you again and again.

What is the difference between GEO and SEO?

SEO competes for a ranking in a list of results. GEO competes to be named inside the generated answer. The unit of competition shifts from keywords and pages to facts, parameters and entity relationships, and the source of trust shifts from backlink authority to consistency across multiple independent sources.

Our product is very niche and nobody asks AI about it. Is it still worth doing?

Yes, often more so. The more niche the category, the thinner the source content AI has, and the easier it is to build weight with a small amount of high-quality structured content. Niche categories usually deliver the best return on GEO, and you may be the only company in your category doing it.

Not sure it's worth it? Start with the audit

We test your brand and your main competitors in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini, using the questions your buyers actually ask. Within 3 business days you get an AI Visibility Audit Report with screenshots. Decide after you've read it.
